Every year Lafayette offers students the opportunity to study abroad during the January and May Interim Session. This year, Lafayette faculty will be direct nine Interim Abroad programs in the Bahamas, Brazil, Hawaii, Honduras, Italy, Japan, London, New Zealand and Russia. For a complete description of each program, please click on the “Programs” menu above. (Honduras has been canceled due to the current political situation; Brazil and London have been canceled due to under enrollment.)

ELIGIBILITY: Students on Disciplinary Probation Level I or Level II may neither apply to nor participate on Interim Abroad programs. If you are placed on Disciplinary Probation Level I or Level II after applying but before the time of departure, permission to study abroad will be withdrawn and you will be responsible for any financial losses (such as deposits and other fees) incurred to date.

REGISTRATION for the 2010 Interim Abroad courses opened on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. If you are interested in placing yourself on a wait list for one of the programs in January or May 2010, or if you would like to register for one of the few remaining spots on the Bahamas and London programs, please contact Maureen Banas immediately (see contact tab above).

PROGRAM COSTS for the 2010 programs range from $3,500 to $5,000, with that amount covering tuition, airfare, room, and admission fees, and medical/accident insurance for students traveling outside of the US; students are typically responsible for most of their own meals.
